Este 25 de octubre se notific\u00f3 el deceso de una menor que aparentemente habr\u00eda contra\u00eddo la enfermedad. Francisco Ayala, director del distrito 23D01 de Salud manifest\u00f3 que a\u00fan se investiga si la persona fallecida habr\u00eda resultado contagiada con una de las variantes de este virus. Sin embargo, si esto se confirma podr\u00eda ser la primera muerte causada por el virus en 2023 en la provincia. Los resultados llegar\u00edan la pr\u00f3xima semana.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En esta semana epidemiol\u00f3gica n\u00famero 41 se reportan 2 casos de Covid-19 en la provincia. En esta misma fecha, pero en 2022, no hubo contagios, mientras en 2021, se presentaron 17 y en 2020, 63. Desde 2020 a 2023 se han confirmado 19.078 casos en el \u00e1mbito local. Seg\u00fan las autoridades, estas decrecientes cifras est\u00e1n relacionadas con las campa\u00f1as de vacunaci\u00f3n.
